Answer: Yes

It is possible to tell if the bacteria on the lb plate are ampicillin resistant just by looking at it because of the presence of colonies. This would indicate that ampicillin has lost its ability to effectively control or kill bacterial growth for it continues to multiply despite the presence of therapeutic level of ampicillin. Moreover, bacteria become resistant by gene mutation and by acquiring resistance from another bacterium through the widespread misuse of antibiotic.

I think the correct answer is yes because the plate with just ampicillin in it would have colonies if it was resistant. Antibiotic resistance occurs when bacteria change in a way that reduces the effectiveness of drugs, chemicals, or other agents designed to cure or prevent infections. Thus the bacteria survives and continues to multiply, causing more harm.

What is the life cycle of a butterfly?
Naddika [18.5K]
Butterflies undergo complete metamorphosis, and their life cycle contains 4 stages.

First, they are born as an egg.

Then, they are hatched as a larva. They now eat flowers and leaves and will molt constantly.

Next, they become a chrysalis, or a pupa. This is a resting stage.

Then is the long awaited adult stage, where butterflies take the form of the beloved, beautiful, winged insects we've come to admire. They no long grow and will now reproduce and repeat the cycle.

Hope this helps! Have a great day :)

In pan mixia, in the absence of migration, mutation, and selection the frequencies are A) Constant in genotype and phenotype B)
muminat

Answer: option A - Constant in genotype and phenotype

Explanation:

Pan mixia is a situation in which an individual is just as likely to mate with another randomly chosen individual as any other in the population

In a situation as described in the question, sexual reproduction is limited to organisms of the same habitat, thus the genetic variation is reduced to the BAREST MINIMUM.

This results in Constancy in genotype and phenotype
