The Hindu and Buddhist artists used the Lost Wax method to make the metal statues. This method which implies the use of clay and wax to create the mold for the statue, continues being used today. Such images are exhibited in temples and monasteries. However, crafted Hindu and Buddhist metal statues  can be bought at numerous shops in tourist areas of Kathmandu Valley.
