Answer;
B. The offsprings will inherit one gene from each parent.

Explanation;
F1 (first filial) generation are the offsprings from the cross between the parents. In this case from Yellow seeds (YY) and green seeds (yy); the yellow seeds are dominant over the green seeds.
After crossing; each F1 generation will contain a genotype, Yy,-heterozygous, which means the phenotype will be yellow seeds since it is dominant over the green seeds. Each offsprings is formed by obtaining one allele from each parent; that is Y allele from yellow seed and y from the green seed.

Answer:

The correct answer would be B. The offspring will inherit one gene from each parent.

It can be explained with the help of the law of segregation which states that the alleles of each gene get separated from each other during gamete formation.

Thus, one gamete receives only one form or allele of the gene.

During fertilization, both male and female gamete fuse to form a zygote.

Thus, the zygote or the offspring gets one out of two copies of the gene from each parent.
