A general formula of an acid always start with H or the hydronium ion. It has to end with an anion. As acids, these compounds are named starting with the prefix "hydro-," then adding the first syllable of the anion, then the suffix "-ic." Hope this answers the question.

The equilibrium-constant expression depends on the ________ of the reaction. Group of answer choices temperature stoichiometry m
slavikrds [6]

Answer:

temperature and mechanism

Explanation:

Arrhenius equation gives us the idea about the factors affecting equilibrium constant.It is given as:

<h3>k=Ae^{\frac{-E_{a} }{RT} }</h3>

where k=equilibrium constant

          A=pre-exponential factor

          E_{a}=Activation energy

          T=temperature

          R=Universal gas constant

<h3>It is clear that k depends only on temperature and activation energy.</h3>

Activation energy of a reaction is different for different mechanisms or pathways.Hence k depends on both temperature and mechanism.

HELP HELP ! Which of the following factors does NOT affect surface currents?
SCORPION-xisa [38]

Answer:

B. Density

Explanation:

The remaining three affect surface currents.

<u>Continental deflections</u>: The continents that rise above sea level cause the surface currents to change direction.

<u>Coriolis effect</u>: This is the deflection of wind and ocean currents due to the Earth’s rotation.

<u>Winds</u>: These are the wind patterns that circulate the warm and cold air around the globe.

What are properties of valence?
kakasveta [241]

Chemical reactions. The number of electrons in an atom's outermost valence shell governs its bonding behavior. Therefore, elements whose atoms can have the same number of valance electrons are grouped together in the periodic table of the elements.

9. Thallium-208 has a half-life of 3.053 min. How long will it take for 120 g of it to decay
damaskus [11]

Answer:

12.213 minutes will be taken for 120 g-Thalium-208 to decay to 75 grams.

Explanation:

Radioactive isotopes decay exponentially in time, the mass of the isotope (m(t)), in grams, is described by the formula in time (t), in minutes:

m(t) = m_{o}\cdot e^{-\frac{t}{\tau} } (1)

Where:

m_{o} - Initial mass of the isotope, in grams.

\tau - Time constant, in minutes.

In addition, the time constant associated with the isotope decay can be described in terms of half-life (t_{1/2}), in minutes:

\tau = \frac{t_{1/2}}{\ln 2} (2)

If we know that m(t) = 7.5\,g, m_{o} = 120\,g and t_{1/2} = 3.053\,min, then the time taken by the isotope is:

\tau = \frac{t_{1/2}}{\ln 2}

\tau = \frac{3.053\,min}{\ln 2}

\tau \approx 4.405\,min

t = -\tau \cdot \ln \frac{m(t)}{m_{o}}

t = -(4.405\,min)\cdot \ln \left(\frac{7.5\,g}{120\,g} \right)

t \approx 12.213\,min

12.213 minutes will be taken for 120 g-Thalium-208 to decay to 75 grams.
