What is the domain and range of each function
yKpoI14uk [10]

Answer:

1. Domain: (3, 5, 7, 8, 11)

Range: ( 6, 7, 9, 14)

2. Domain: (-3, -1, 2, 5, 7)

Range: (-7, -5, -4, 5, 9)

Step-by-step explanation:

The domain is the set of all x values in the function. The range is the set of all y values in the function. It is written in parenthesis from least to greatest. Do not repeat values even if the function has them more than once.

1. Domain: (3, 5, 7, 8, 11)

Range: ( 6, 7, 9, 14)

2. Domain: (-3, -1, 2, 5, 7)

Range: (-7, -5, -4, 5, 9)

Tara is using matrix multiplication to find image points of a translation. She is translating the image 2 units left and 4 units
Ahat [919]
Assuming that this is just on a 2-D coordinate plane, we must convert the expressions on to a 3-D plane since translation cannot be done on a 2-D plane. This is done by adding a dummy coordinate that does not change. Let us use "1" for this case.

Matrix:
| 0 0 -2 |(x) = (x - 2)
<span>| 0 0 4  |(y) = (y + 4)
</span><span>| 0 0 1  |(1) = 1</span>

Help me to answer this question pls
attashe74 [19]

Problem 1

Draw a straight line and plot P anywhere on it. Use the compass to trace out a faint circle of radius 8 cm with center P. This circle crosses the previous line at point Q.

Repeat these steps to set up another circle centered at Q and keep the radius the same. The two circles cross at two locations. Let's mark one of those locations point X. From here, we could connect points X, P, Q to form an equilateral triangle. However, we only want the 60 degree angle from it.

With P as the center, draw another circle with radius 7.5 cm. This circle will cross the ray PX at location R.

Refer to the diagram below.

Problem 2

I'm not sure why your teacher wants you to use a compass and straightedge to construct an 80 degree angle. Such a task is not possible. The proof is lengthy but look up the term "constructible angles" and you'll find that only angles of the form 3n are possible to make with compass/straight edge.

In other words, you can only do multiples of 3. Unfortunately 80 is not a multiple of 3. I used GeoGebra to create the image below, as well as problem 1.

A sphere with a radius of 5 cm fits inside a box. Every face of the box is tangent to the sphere. What is the ratio of the volum
BARSIC [14]
Volume of box with side length of 5 = 5^3 = 125

Volume of sphere = (4/3)*pi*5^3 = (4/3)pi * 125

Ratio = 125/(4pi/3)*125  = 1/(4pi/3) = 3/(4pi)

Given:

The figure of two parallel lines MP and QS.

A transversal line KL interests the two parallel lines.

m\angle KNM =146^\circ

To find:

The m\angle KRQ.

Solution:

If a transversal line intersect the two parallel lines, then the corresponding angles are congruent and their measures are equal.

In the given figure \angle KRQ and \angle KNM corresponding angles. It means their measures are equal.

m\angle KRQ=m\angle KNM

m\angle KRQ=146^\circ

Therefore, m\angle KRQ=146^\circ.
