I  just aswerd these

1. solve for x in first to just find nterms of y

x=12-y
sub that for x in other one
first divide that one by 2 to make it easier
2x-y=18
2(12-y)-y=18
24-2y-y=18
24-3y=18
minus 24 both sides
-3y=-6
divide -3
y=2

D is answer

2.
find intersection of x+y=5 and -2x+3y=6
or easiers, just test the intersections
wait, they all intersect in the same place
this is super easy
pick ANY point that is in that reigon and see if it is true

A, if we pick lets say (5,5)
that is false for x+y<5
not A

B
pick (10,0)
false for first one
not B

C
pick (0,0)
true for first
false for 2nd
not C

D. pick (-10,0)
true for first
true for 2nd

answer is D

8.
time times object=time taken

frame or door=21
the first equation has to be in terms of minutes
2nd has to be in terms of loads

first one is
35w+21d=595
2nd is
9w+13d=267
D is answer

9.

nlexa [21]

Answer:

Move downward by 7 units

Move leftward by 6 units

(x,y) \to (x -6,y-7)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

See attachment for grid

Required

The transformation from the current location to the new location

To do this, we pick two corresponding points on the current location and the new location.

We have:

A = (3,2) -- Current location

A' = (-6,-5) -- New location

First, move A downwards by 7 units.

The rule to this is:

(x,y) \to (x,y-7)

So, we have:

(3,2) \to (3,2-7)

(3,2) \to (3,-5)

Next, move the above points leftward by 6 units.

The rule to this is:

(x,y) \to (x-6,y)

So, we have:

(3,-5) \to (3-6,-5)

(3,-5) \to (-3,-5)

Please help I dont get it<br> x - 3 1/2 = 8.5
Vlad1618 [11]

Answer:

12

Step-by-step explanation:

x - 3\frac{1}{2} = 8.5

x - \frac{7}{2} = 8.5         Convert the mixed fraction to a imroper fraction.

x - 3.5 = 8.5     Convert the improper fraction to a decimal number.

x = 12                Add 3.5 to both sides.
