The different schedules of reinforcement that the question is asking about are: Fixed ratio, f<span>ixed interval, variable ratio  and variable interval.

Those are the four different intervals in conditioning that are usually mentioned.

The 'cure' for crime refers to the effort that society made to 'correct' the criminals so they could functioned back to the society.
During the process a lot of prisons for example, chose to conducted several inhumane methods (such as torture or forced them to work in toxic environment)
