Park service personnel are trying to increase the size of the bison population of a large park. If 140 bison currently live in t

he park, and if the population's rate of growth is 1% annually, find how many bison (rounded to the nearest whole) there should be in 30 years. Use y = 140(2.7)^0.01t, where the t represents time in years

Answer:

y(t) = 140 (2.7)^{0.01t}

Where t represent the time in years

For this case this model follows the general model given by:

y = a b^t

Where a = 140 represent the initial amount of bisons and y the number of bisons after t years and b = 2.7 represent the growth rate

For this case we want to find the value of y when t =30, and if we replace the value of t =30 in our function we got:

y(30) = 140(2.7)^{0.01*30} = 188.598

And if we round to the nearest whole number we got 189 bisons after 30 years

Step-by-step explanation:

For this case we have the following function given:

y(t) = 140 (2.7)^{0.01t}

Where t represent the time in years

For this case this model follows the general model given by:

y = a b^t

If $x$, $y$, and $z$ are positive integers such that $6xyz+30xy+21xz+2yz+105x+10y+7z=812$, find $x+y+z$.
harina [27]

Answer:

10

Step-by-step explanation:

When we simplify we get $$z(6xy+21x+2y+7)+30xy+105x+10y=812.$$

Then we continue to factor to get: (z+5)(6xy+21x+2y+7)&=847.

We then see that we can factor (6xy+21x+2y+7) into (z+5)(3x+1)(2y+7)&=847.

we then do the prime factorization of 847, which i think is,  7*11*11. we have to find the numbers that multiply to 847 and then plug them into z+5, 3x=1,2y+7.

It has to be a positive, non-negative integer, right?

We also see that 3x+1=11 so we see that x=10/3 (which wont work).

So 3x+1=7, so x=2.

So 11 has to be in another term. It has to be in 2y+7=11 so y=2

for the last term we get z+5=11 so z=6

2+2+6=10

Hope this helps and if you want please consider giving me brainliest. :)

Please Help ASAP with Math
vampirchik [111]

Answer:

5.33

Step-by-step explanation:

move the 4 out of the summation because  just a constant multiplier

4 *sum from 1 to 10 for (1/4)^(n-1)   [sorry i don't know how to write sums using latex)

The formula for the geometric sum is :

First term*(1-multiplier^n)/(1-multiplier), formally \frac{a_1(1-r^n)}{1-r}

Here multiplier is 1/4

First term is (1/4)^(1-1) = 1

Thus the value of sum is 1*(1-(1/4)^1^0)/(1-1/4)which equals (1- (1/4)^1^0)*4/3

We factored out 4 so its 4*(1-(1/4)^1^0)*4/3 which is 16/3 * (1- (1/4)^1^0)

This equals 5.333328247 which is 5.33 to the nearest hundredth

Equilateral triangle ABC has a perimeter of 96 millimeters. A perpendicular bisector is drawn from angle A to side Line segment
prisoha [69]

Answer:

<h2>A  16mm</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

An equilateral triangle is a triangle that has all of its sides equal.

Perimeter of an equilaterial triangle = 3s where;

s is one side of the triangle.

Given the perimeter of ABC = 96mm

Substituting into the formula above to get s;

96 = 3s

s = 96/3

s = 32mm

Hence the length of one side of the triangle is 32mm

If a perpendicular bisector is drawn from angle A to side Line segment B C at point M, then MC will be half of BC and ΔAMC will be a right angled triangle.

Since all the sides of the triangle are equal, hence BC = 32mm. Since MC is the half of BC, then MC = 1/2 of 32mm

MC = 1/2 * 32mm

MC = 16mm

<em>Hence the length of Line segment MC is 16mm</em>
