Ok well right now in California its 5:34 and its probably 8:34 in Miami. Because the sun is not in the same elevation. Depending on longitude and position there is a time difference that was calculated by a system. Based on simple mathematics and subtraction you can conclude that the time difference between Miami and California is 3 hours<span />

What is the ratio of the volume of Cylinder A to the volume of Cylinder B?
erastovalidia [21]

Answer:

The ratio of volume of Cylinder A to the volume of Cylinder B is 18:25.

Step-by-step explanation:

Dimension of cylinder A,

Radius is 3 units and height is 4 units.

Dimension of cylinder B,

Radius is 5 units and height is 2 units.

The volume of a cylinder is given by :

V=\pi r^2 h

For cylinder A to B,

\dfrac{V_A}{V_B}=(\dfrac{r_A}{r_B})^2\times \dfrac{h_A}{h_B}\\\\\dfrac{V_A}{V_B}=(\dfrac{3}{5})^2\times \dfrac{4}{2}\\\\\dfrac{V_A}{V_B}= \dfrac{18}{25}

So, the ratio of volume of Cylinder A to the volume of Cylinder B is 18:25.

The sum of twice a number and 13 is 75
Nina [5.8K]
So what they are saying is the sum of 2x +13=75
Therefore we can just solve for 2x, our unknown value.
2x+13=75 now subtract 13 and divide by 2 from both sides of equation to not change the equation
x+13-13=75-13
This leaves us with
x=(75-13)/2=31 therefore x=31 or our unknown value is 31.

I hope this helped. Any questions please just ask. Thank you.

Suppose that y varies inversely with X and that y equals 4 when x equals 6 what is an equation for the inverse variation
nekit [7.7K]
When two functions vary inversely with each other, they are usually in the form y = k / x, where k is the constant of proportionality.

To find the equation for the inverse variation, find the constant of proportionality. Do that by substituting the values for x and y into y = k / x and solving for k.

y = k / x
4 = k / 6
24 = k

Answer:
The constant of proportionality is 24. The equation for the inverse variation is y = 24/x.
