Answer:

She need to sell 7 or more plants to make the commission offer the best paying option

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Jill has a job offer. She is offered either $50 per day or ?30 per day plus a commission of $3 for every plant she sells.

To Find: How many plants does she need to sell to make the commission offer the best paying option?

Solution :

Since in the commission offer

She earns $ 30 per day  and $3 for each plant she sells

Let she sold t plants

Since commission of 1 plant is $3

So, commission of t plants is $3t

And She is also getting $30 per day

So, total amount earned in the commission offer is 30+3t

Since we need to find How many plants does she need to sell to make the commission offer the best paying option

So,  30+3t > 50

⇒3t > 50-30

⇒3t > 20

⇒t > \frac{20}{3}

⇒t >6.6

Thus she must sell 7 or more plants

Hence she need to sell 7 or more plants to make the commission offer the best paying option
