Both petroleum and coal are made up of complex carbon-based molecules, and both originated with living creatures of some kind. B
Veseljchak [2.6K]
I think the correct answer would be option A. This passage uses a combination of comparison and contrast and cause and effect. The use of "both", "however" and "on the other hand" are indications that the passage is using compare and contrast principle. Also, it states several sentences that cause why these particular substance are formed for a longer time and what are the processes involved like the phrase "because it took that much time for overlying sediments to produce the unimaginable heat and pressure". Along with this, the effect is stated. So, most likely, the passage above is also using the cause and effect organizing principle.

What specific information do you find when looking up a word in a basic dictionary?
ruslelena [56]

When you look up a word in a basic dictionary, there is quite a bit of information you’ll find. Of course, you’ll find the definition of the word. If the word, however, has more than one meaning, all meanings will be presented in the entry. The word will be spaced out into syllables. You’ll see the phonetic pronunciation of the word. For instance, if you look up the word, “happy,” you’ll see “hap-ee.” In addition, some dictionaries will also present a word’s language origin (such as Latin or French) as well as the part of speech such as whether the word is a noun, verb, adjective, etc.

Answer:

"Answer: A. It reveals both Alice’s inner thoughts and past experiences to portray her as bright and imaginative yet sometimes silly." - looringhighjump on brainly

Explanation:

"Carroll uses the third person omniscient as the point of view to be able to write about all the thoughts, movements, and sentiments of Alice. That's how the reader can learn about her inner thoughts and previous experiences. For example: 'what is the use of a book', thought Alice 'without pictures or conversation?'" - looringhigh jump
