Answer:

△GHD ≅ △EDH by SAS

Step-by-step explanation:

There are 3 types of congruences they are side angle side, side side side,

Angle side side.

We find that in the picture given above triangles GHF and EDF are having the following properties:

GH= ED(given)

angle GFH = angle EFD(vertically opposite angles)

But these two are sufficient to prove that the two triangles are congruent.

ii)

Triangles HFD and HFG

These two triangles have only HF = HF Hence cannot say congruent

iii) Consider triangles GHD and EDH

HD = HD (reflexive)

GH=ED(given)

Angle G = angle D (right angles)

Hence by SAS the two are congruent.

Line r is parallel to line s.
In which diagram MUST angle 1 be congruent to
angle 2?
sattari [20]

Answer:

C

Step-by-step explanation:

In C, angle 1 and 2 are alternate exterior angles, meaning that they are equivalent. They are only corresponding angles in the other options and corresponding angles are not always congruent. So the answer must be C.

PEMDAS. Parenthesis comes first. 3+2 = 5 which is then multiplied to 6/2 which is 3 so 3 x 5 is 15.

There are between 24 and 40 students in a class.
patriot [66]

Given:

There are between 24 and 40 students in a class.

The ratio of boys to girls is 4:7

To find:

The number of students in the class.

Solution:

Let the number of boys are girls are 4x and 7x respectively, where, x must be a positive integer because number of boys and girls is always a positive integer. Then, the total number of students is

\text{Total students}=4x+7x

\text{Total students}=11x

It means total number of students is multiply of 11.

Multiples of 11 are 11, 22, 33, 44, ... . So, multiples of 11 between 24 and 40 is 33.

Therefore, the total number of students in the class is 33.
