The increase of one variable which causes the other variable to increase points to a directly proportional relationship between the two variables. Similarly, the decrease of one variable will cause a decrease in the other variable.
One variable can also be the constant multiple of the other. This means that if one changes, the other one will change in PROPORTION to it.
