Well lets think about it you need to make inches into feet
if they are telling us the units in inches so if we know i foot has 12 inches we would have to divide 156 by 12
156/12 =13
so that means she jumped 13 feet in long jump!

Answer:

( x - 2 ) ( x + 2 ) ( x² + 4 ) - ( x² - 2 ) ( x² + 3 )

(x²– 4) (x²+4) – (x⁴ + x² – 6)

( x⁴ – 16 ) – ( x⁴ + x² – 6 )

( x⁴ – 16 ) + ( – x⁴ – x² + 6 )

– x² – 10

Which is the equation of an ellipse centered at the origin with foci on x-axis, x-intercepts +7, -7 and y-intercepts +2,
Aleks04 [339]
We know that
foci on x-axis-------> is a ellipse with horizontal major axis

the equation is
(x²/a²)+(y²/b²)=1

major axis is the x-axis with length 2a
2a=14--------> a=7

minor axis is the y-axis with length 2b
2b=4-----> b=2

the equation is
(x²/a²)+(y²/b²)=1------> (x²/7²)+(y²/2²)=1-----> (x²/49)+(y²/4)=1

the answer is
(x²/49)+(y²/4)=1

A volleyball reaches its maximum of 13 feet, 3 seconds after it is served. What quadratic formula could model the height of the
Katena32 [7]

Answer:

H=-(t-3)^2+13

Step-by-step explanation:

The path covered by the volleyball will be a downward parabola with the vertex being the highest point of the ball.

A general form of a downward parabola is given as:

y=-a(x-h)^2+k

Where (h,k) is the vertex of the parabola and 'a' is a constant.

Now, let 'h' be the vertical height and 't' be the time taken.

So, the equation would be of the form:

H=-a(t-h)^2+k

Now, as per question:

h = 2 seconds, k = 13 feet.

H=-a(t-3)^2+13

Now, taking a = 1. So, the formula that can be used is:

H=-(t-3)^2+13
