Answer:

Fossil record support the theory of evolution because it provides certain physical evidences that could be used to show a change over a time period in organisms.

Explanation:

Evolution is the changes inheritable in nature which accounts for better adaptions and survival to the changing environment. For example natural selection, gene drift and so on. Fossils are the remnants of animals engraved in layers of rock that used to live on earth millions of years ago, but now became extinct, due to lacking of adaptability and evolution to survive in the changing environments. For example, the fossils of Neanderthals, the precursors of modern human, provides evidences as to how the modern human has undergone certain changes to survive in the changing environmental conditions.

A cell needs more of Protein X to function. Describe every way it is possible to INCREASE that protein. I don’t understand this
Natasha_Volkova [10]

It is possible to INCREASE the levels of the protein X by transcription factor binding and epigenetic modifications that induce the expression of the protein-coding gene.

<h3>What are transcription factors?</h3>

Transcription factors can be defined as specific proteins that bind to certain gene regions called promotors in order to promote the transcription of genes.

Moreover, epigenetic modifications such as DNA methylation and histone acetylation may alter the structure of chromatin in order to enable gene transcription.

In conclusion, it is possible to INCREASE the levels of the protein X by transcription factor binding and epigenetic modifications that induce the expression of the protein-coding gene.
