Answer:

2 quarters

4 nickels

9 dimes

Step-by-step explanation:

quarters = x

nickels = 2x

dimes = 2x+5

25x+5(2x)+10(2x+5)=160

25x+10x+20x+50=160

55x=160-50

55x=110

x=2

SO:

(x) = 2 quarters

(2x) = 4 nickels

(2x+5) = 9 dimes

if log 2 = ( 0.3010 ), Log 3 = ( 0.4771 ) and Log 5 = ( 0.6990 ) then find the value of the following: Log 24... The answer is (
tekilochka [14]

Answer: 1. 3801

Step-by-step explanation:

Log 24 = Log(8x3)

From the laws of Logarithm

Log ( a xb) = Log a + Log b

so, Log (8x3) = Log8 + Log 3

Also Log 8 can be written as Log2^{3} since 2^{3} is still 8 , so the expression becomes

Log2^{3} + Log 3

⇒ 3 Log 2 + Log 3

since the value of Log 2 and Log 3 has been given , substitute into the expression , we have

3 (0.3010) + 0.4771

= 0.903 + 0.4771

= 1.3801

The correct answer is:  [A]:  " \frac{8}{729} " .
_________________________________________________________
Explanation:
_________________________________________________________
We are asked to simplify:

                  →    (\frac{2}{9})^3

_________________________________________________________
Note the following property of exponents:
_________________________________________________________

( \frac{a}{b})^n  =  \frac{(a^n)}{(b^n)} ;  { b \neq0 } .

_________________________________________________________
As such:

→  ( \frac{2}{9})^3  ;

 =
\frac{2^3}{9^3} = \frac{(2*2*2)}{(9*9*9)} =  \frac{8}{729} .

_____________________________________________________________

The answer is:
" \frac{8}{729} "  ;

→  which is:  "Answer choice:  [A]:  " \frac{8}{729} " .
