If we have two points;
A(x₁,y₁)
B(x₂,y₂)
m=slope
m=(y₂-y₁) / (x₂-x₁)
Therefore:
(6,7)
(9,2)
m=(2-7) / (9-6)=-5/3.
Solution₁= the solpe of the line that passes through the poitns (6,7) and (9,2) is
m=-5/3.
(17,9)
(5,29)
m=(29-9) / (5-17)=20/-12=-5/3
Solution ₂: the slope of the line that passes through the parir of points (17,9) and (5,29) is
m=-5/3
Therefore, both lines have the same slope.
