A 1.36 kg hammer at 22 ms what was the force generated by the hammer

Chemistry
1 answer:
podryga [215]3 years ago
6 0
From the information given, the mass of the hammer seems to be 1.36 kg and the velocity by which it is wielded seems to be 22 m/s. The most suitable formula to be used here is : f = m × v where f is force, m is mass and v is velocity. f = m × v → f = 1.36 × 22 → f = 29.92 kg m/s Therefore the force generated by the hammer is 29.92 N ( kg m/s is the same as Newton)

What else supports the idea that an exothermic reaction has occurred?
kodGreya [7K]
The main pieces of evidence that an exothermic reaction has occurred is an increase in temperature due to the release of energy, a release of energy in the form of light, or a release of gas.

The vapor pressure of liquid chloroform, CHCl3, is 100. mm Hg at 283 K. A 0.380 g sample of liquid CHCl3 is placed in a closed,
Katyanochek1 [597]

Answer:

a

No

b

100 mm Hg

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

The vapor pressure of CHCl3, is P = 100 \  mmHg =  \frac{100}{760}=  0.13156 \ atm

The temperature of CHCl3 is T  =  283 \  K

The volume of the container is V_c =  380mL =  380 *10^{-3}\  L

The temperature of the container is T_c  =  283 \  K

The mass of CHCl3 is m = 0.380 g

Generally the number of moles of CHCl3 present before evaporation started is mathematically represented as

n  =  \frac{m }{M }

Here M is the molar mass of CHCl3 with the value M  =  119.38 \ g/mol

=> n  =  \frac{ 0.380 }{119.38 }

=> n  =  0.00318 \  mols

Generally the number of moles of CHCl3 gas that evaporated is mathematically represented as

n_g  =  \frac{PV}{RT}

Here R is the gas constant with value R =  0.08206 L \  atm /mol\cdot  K

So

          n_g  =  \frac{0.13156* 380 *10^{-3} }{0.08206 * 283}

          n_g  =  0.00215 \  mols

Given that the number of moles of  CHCl3 evaporated is less than the number of moles of CHCl3  initially present , then it mean s that not all the liquid evaporated

At equilibrium the temperature of CHCl3 will be equal to the pressure of  air so the pressure at equilibrium is  100 mmHg

For the wild type (unmutated) enzyme, you measure a rate of p-nitrophenol release by the change in absorbance at 405 nm (for the
Aleks04 [339]

Answer:

1.2x10⁻⁵M = Concentration of the product released

Explanation:

Lambert-Beer's law states the absorbance of a solution is directly proportional to its concentration. The equation is:

A = E*b*C

<em>Where A is the absotbance of the solution: 0.216</em>

<em>E is the extinction coefficient = 18000M⁻¹cm⁻¹</em>

<em>b is patelength = 1cm</em>

<em>C is concentration of the solution</em>

<em />

Replacing:

0.216 = 18000M⁻¹cm⁻¹*1cm*C

<h3>1.2x10⁻⁵M = Concentration of the product released</h3>

If you need to reverse the following reaction in order for it to be an intermediate reaction in a Hess's law problem, what would
Olin [163]
When reversing a given reaction, we simply change the sign of the standard enthalpy change value. Therefore, the reaction will become:
H₂O → H₂ + 0.5O₂, ΔH = 286kJ
This is because if a certain amount of energy is released when a reaction occurs, the same amount of energy must be supplied for the reaction to occur in the reverse direction.
