One can be lack of food. If you don't have money you can't afford proper nutrition which can result in bad health. Another can be lack of warmth, in the winter time you can be freezing because you're poor. Third one can be lack of health care. If you don't have money, you can easily get infections and things like that because you can't treat it properly because you have no health care access.

Three harmful effects of poverty on one's personal health:

 1. Malnutrition/Illnesses
 2. Mental Health
 3. Children development

Further Explanation

1. Malnutrition/Illnesses

People who live in poverty can not afford to buy nutritious food, so they will buy a cheaper and less healthy alternative. A poor diet can have a big impact on a person health. They also usually don't have access to basic services such as sanitation, clean water, electricity, and health care. They may end up with a higher risk of suffering health issues, increased cases of chronic and life-threatening illnesses. Malnutrition, respiratory disease, diarrhea, and skin problems are common illnesses for people living in poverty.

2. Mental health

Definition health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being. Poverty increases the risk of mental health problems and can be both a causal factor and a consequence of mental ill-health. People living in poverty means sometimes being exploited and forced into illegal situations; experiencing racism and discrimination; living in an unsafe neighborhood with high levels of crime and violence and poor environmental conditions. All these stressful conditions increase the risk of mental health.

3. Children development

Poverty also affected children development. It is a known fact that children who spend their childhood in poverty experience health problems at the time and in later years. This is as a result of their terrible living conditions, poor nutrition, no access to immunization programs and no access to the health care system.

A person who collaborates with another to advance a cause that benefits both parties is said to be an ally. Allyship is a lifelong process of building relationships with marginalized people and/or groups based on trust, consistency, and responsibility; it is not an identity and necessitates that the people we seek to help recognize our efforts. One of the benefits of being an ally is that it makes the workplace more enjoyable for everyone since marginalized groups are more comfortable bringing their whole selves to work and are more likely to be engaged and productive when they feel supported and included.
