Graph the image of rectangle rstu after a dilation with a scale factor of 4, centered at the origin

Answer:

T' (4,8)

S' (4,-4)

R' (-4,-4)

U' (-4,8)

Step-by-step explanation:

A dilation is an enlargement if the scale factor is greater than 1 and a reduction if it is less than 1. In this it is an enlargement so you multiply each coordinate by the scale factor which is 4. Since the coordinate for T is (1,2) you multiply 1x4 and 2x4 making the new coordinate (4,8). Since it is a new coordinate you add ' to the letter for the coordinate. Then you do that for the rest of the coordinates and graph it.

Which choice correctly shows rounding to the hundredths place?
TEA [102]
The hundredth place is the one with two places to the right of the decimal place. For example in the number 123.4579, five is in the hundredths place. Therefore, the answer 3.88 + 4.82 + 1.73 correctly shows rounding to the hundredths place. All of the numbers being added together only have two numbers after the decimal. By laws of math, when they are all added together, there will only be two number after the decimal.

Possible solution for 4+x+2-2x=5
MrRissso [65]

Answer:

x=1

Step-by-step explanation:

For algebra always start by rewriting it.

4+x+2-2x=5

Then ask yourself is there any like terms we can combine, and here yes there is. 4 and 2 and x and -2x. Now lets combine them and rewrite.

6-x=5

Now lets get x alone and the quickest way is to subtract 6 to the other side

6-x=5

-6    -6

  -x=-1

Now the two negatives cancel out as you would divide both sides by the coefficient -1 to get positive x alone. We can make this easier by just canceling out the negatives.

Your answer is

x=1
