Ok so there are 100 cm in a m and there are 10 mm in a cm so if we have 400 mm divide that by 10 and we get 40 cm so now we have a total of 125 cm now remember 100 cm = 1 m so we have 2 m and 25 cm and that's the total length that the frog jumped do you understand?

The total length of the frogs three jumps was 2.25 m

<h3>Further explanation</h3>

Some units of length and its conversion that need to be recalled are:

1 ~ foot = 30.48 ~ cm

1 ~ inch = 2.54 ~ cm

1 ~ foot = 12 ~ inches

1 ~ mile = 1609.34 ~ metres

1 ~ yard = 0,9144 ~ metres

1 ~\mu m = 1 \times 10^{-6} ~ m

1 ~ \text{US liquid gallon} = 3.78541 ~ litres

Some units of time and its conversion that need to be recalled are:

1 ~ month = 30 ~ days

1 ~ day = 24 ~ hours

1 ~ hour = 60 ~ minutes

1 ~ minute = 60 ~ seconds

Let us now tackle the problem !

<u>Given:</u>

distance of first jump = d₁ = 1 meter

distance of second jump = d₂ = 85 centimeters

distance of third jump = d₃ = 400 millimeters

<u>Unknown:</u>

total distance = d = ?

<u>Solution:</u>

This problem is about conversion unit of length.

We have to recall that :

\boxed {1 \ m = 100 ~ cm}

\boxed {1 \ m = 1000 ~ mm}

\text{Total Distance} = d = d_1 + d_2 + d_3

d = 1 ~ m + 85 ~ cm + 400 ~ mm

d = 1 ~ m + \frac{85}{100} ~ m + \frac{400}{1000} ~ m

d = 1 ~ m + 0.85 ~ m + 0.4 ~ m

d = 2.25 ~m

Fiesta28 [93]

Answer:

56

Step-by-step explanation:

First, convert the 70% so that we can use it with the 80 cups. To do this, convert the percent to a decimal by moving the decimal 2 spaces to the left:

70% → 70.00 → 0.70 → 0.7

70% percent can be seen as 0.7. Multiply this by 80:

80*0.7=56

So, 70% of 80 is 56. Desmond sold 56 cups on the second Saturday.
