The Pecking Order view on capital structure:

Business
1 answer:
irina1246 [14]3 years ago

Answer:

c. Argues that a firm's first choice for capital is retained earnings as there is no informational cost associated with using retained earnings.

Explanation:

The Pecking order theory states that a business should first of all seek for internal funds (retained earnings) as a first choice of capital.

When internal funds are depleted, it can now look to debt as a source of finance.

In turn when debt options have been exhausted the last resort is to look for funding from equity.

So the Pecking order argues that a firm's first choice for capital is retained earnings as there is no informational cost associated with using retained earnings.

mezya [45]

Answer:

In total 84,000 income tax will be reported.

Explanation:

taxable income 280,000

tax rate: 30%

tax expense: taxable income  x tax rate:

                           280,000       x    30%     =     84,000

The company already expected 50,000 tax income:

income tax expense 50,000 debit

             cash                           50,000 credit

So it will adjust for the difference: 84,000 - 50,000 = 34,000

income tax expense 34,000 debit

            income tax payable      34,000 credit

In total 84,000 income tax will be reported.

Economically valuable materials such as diamonds, tin, and platinum are associated with which ocean floor resource?
solmaris [256]
<span>Economically valuable materials such as diamonds, tin, and platinum are associated with sand and gravel.
There is no way that oil and natural gas, evaporative salts, and manganese nodules affect the creation of diamonds, platinum and tin, whereas sand and gravel do. The formation of sand and gravel is quite important for the "birth" of these materials, given that they need suitable conditions to form.

One of Warren Buffett’s acquisition criteria is to invest in businesses "earning good return on equity, while employing little
Paha777 [63]

Answer:

Buffett is concerned about debt in business as they analyse the financial statement of business before acquiring it or investing in it, as it suggest the future financial position of the company and it´s ability to generate consistent earning for the company. They focus on return on equity rather than debt, as regulatory body, credit agencies, and creditors use financial statement to decide on company´s worthiness by evaluating company´s debt and lending term. Debt become obligation for the company and its shows weak accounting and financial position of the company. The warren buffett´s investment policy is to acquire and hold companies for long run, therefore return on equity is a better parameter to evaluate any company.

Which of the following would be considered to be the most liquid? small time deposits savings deposits checkable deposits money
Nikitich [7]

Answer:

Checking Accounts

Explanation:

Now lets break this down so you can understand more clearly.

Liquidity simply means the ability to convert any asset in to cash easily.

  1. Small Time Deposits: in USA, small deposits are deposits under $100,000 and "small time" means they are generally deposited for a limited time. like a year or for a quarter. They are liquid, but not as much as Checking accounts.
  2. Checking Accounts: The are designed to support in carrying out daily transactions and are almost equal to "money (cash in hand)". No interest is paid on the balance of these accounts. Moreover, you can use Cheques to do transactions as well.
  3. Money Market Mutual Funds: Mutual funds that invest in low risk debt securities such as Treasury Bills and Commercial Papers.
  4. Savings Accounts: These are deposits made in the intention of saving and bears a descent interest rate too. They are highly liquid too, as you can withdraw cash anytime you want. Yet compared with the Checking Accounts, not so much.

But remember, all the things you've mentioned here has a good liquidity. Checking Account is just "Super" liquid.
