How do emotions positively and negatively influence critical thinking? Describe how you balance your emotion and reason when mak
natka813 [3]

1. Emotions, whether positive or negative, influence critical thinking because they prevent the individual from using rationality to think. Thus, we can say that in relation to the act of thinking critically, the use of emotions influences in an evil way.

2. To balance emotion and reason, I like to evaluate the possible results of my choice first. In that case, I see what the results of a particular decision would be if I acted rationally and what the results would be if I acted emotionally. I also assess how these results would affect me and those close to me. An example of when I had to use reason and emotion for a decision was when I had to choose whether to live with my mom or dad. In this case, emotion was a very strong factor, but I had to think rationally about all the consequences.

3. Language is very important in critical thinking as it shows how your reasoning works and expresses what you have evaluated according to that situation. In other words, language is important to externalize your reasoning to attract other reasonings that complement yours. An example of when language helped my critical thinking was when I talked to my parents about the reasons I was evaluating to decide who I was going to live with. In this way, my parents understood my position and gave me some suggestions that complemented my reasoning.

P.S. You didn't talk about the concepts covered in the week, but I suggest you read a summary of them and write about the ones you identified with and understood the most. You can also explain what caused you to not identify with other concepts, and why you were confused about them.

Our esteem-based needs are met by developing self-respect and achieving our personal goals.
morpeh [17]

Answer:

I believe so, yes.

Explanation:

If you have self-respect for yourself and really focus on the things you want to do in life, should result in higher self-esteem/esteem-based needs.

For example: Self-respect behavior

  • If you love yourself and acknowledge everything about yourself. You really just get to know yourself and have a deeper understanding of yourself. I think that is how you would achieve this. You don't go hating and making fun of yourself. You love yourself for who you are. ( P.S. I am no expert, so please take that into consideration. )

Another example: Personal Goals

  • If you push yourself hard enough and love yourself in the process, I think you will achieve great things. If you thrive and really accomplish the things you want in life. You have these goals no matter what others say about them. They are your goals for a reason. YOU want them, not other people. Just try to be optimistic about things, even when you don't feel like it.
