Cartels are difficult to maintain because a. the monopoly output is very difficult to determine. b. the number of firms is alw
Ostrovityanka [42]

Answer:

The correct answer is option d.

Explanation:

Cartels are generally formed in oligopoly markets. In such markets there are few firms which are interdependent. So, they form cartels to enjoy monopoly power.

Though cartels are generally short lived and difficult to maintain. The reason behind this is that each firm has the incentive to deviate and produce more than their quota in order to capture more market share.

So, option d is the correct answer here.

Home loans typically involve "points," which are fees charged by the lender. Each point charged means that the borrower must pay
nirvana33 [79]

Answer:

Ans. The effective annual interest rate charged on the loan is 12.99% effective annually. (Please see the attached excel spread sheet)

Explanation:

Hi, attached is the amortization table that I made for this case. Notice that there is a yellow and green cell, the yellow one is the result of using the "IRR" function of MS Excel which provides an effective monthly rate, since the payments are made every month, then we have to transform that monthly effective rate into an effective annual rate, this is the formula to use.

EffectiveAnnual=(1+EffectiveMonthly)^{\frac{1}{12} } -1

That is:

EffectiveAnnual=(1+0.012267477)^{\frac{1}{12} } -1=0.12986448

Which we round to 12.99% effective annually.

Finally, notice that I didnt use the payments to find the effective rate, I used the cash flow, that was because you didn´t receive all the 100K (the fee, remember?), you received $98,000.

Best of luck.

Suppose that consumer income increases and that ground meat is an inferior good. Which of the following will occur in the market
antoniya [11.8K]

Answer:

d. Market clearing price will fall, and equilibrium quantity will fall.

Explanation:

Inferior goods are those goods which do not behave normally to market.

As with increase in consumer spending capacity, their demand decreases.

Accordingly with decrease in demand , the prices will fall.

Thus, either Statement b is correct or statement d.

Since demand and price both tend to fall, the equilibrium quantity will fall for the same, as the demand will be low, the equilibrium quantity will fall to meet the demand level.

Thus, Statement D is correct.

Tanya [424]

Answer: Account A

Explanation:

Account A would be best for James as it provides the most value for the things he would like to do.

  • ATM charges are free with this account so he can use the ATM four times in the month at no charge
  • He would pay no monthly fees as he uses direct debit
  • He would pay an annual fee of $0
  • And as online payments are free, he would not have to worry about getting charged for the 8 bills to process in the month.
