Dissecting microspcopes have not as high magnification as a compound microscope. I would recommend a compound microscope for bacteria cultivation and looking at parasites.

When choosing a microscope the most important factor is what kind of samples/objects do you intend to observe. What you need to see and what you want to do with that image will determine what kind of microscope you need, there are many different types of microscopes, and no single microscope can view everything. You also need to take into consideration what sort of magnification or resolution are you looking for. What kind of light will you need in the microscope. What type of contrast do you plan on using. What is the consistency of the sample.

Two most common types are compound and stereo microscopes. Common offers a high magnification with two dimensional images and is better for samples such as cells. Stereo offers a three dimensional image and is better used on larger objects such as circuit boards. Stereo also uses completely independent paths of light. and uses two different angles of viewing to create an impression of depth and solidity.

If a new study shows a connection between eating avocados and a lowered risk of disease, what do you think will happen?
salantis [7]

Answer:

Demand for avocados would increase, causing prices to increase.

Explanation:

If avocados are proven to lower the risk of diseases, more people would want to buy them, meaning demand would increase.

When demand increases, people would be willing to pay more for that item, meaning price would increase.

Therefore, the answer is the second option: demand for avocados would increase, causing prices to increase.

A recessive allele does not affect the phenotype of a heterozygous person.
Effectus [21]

Answer: A. true

Explanation: The phenotype is the physical characteristics of a person. So, if a person has brown eyes, which may be a characteristic that is dominant, then they would have a genotype of BB or Bb. The reason why Bb, heterozygous, is not a different color is because the recessive b does not affect the dominant B allele.

Hope this helps!!!

as part of the cell cycle a cell produces new daughter cells that are identical to the original cell. during which phase are the
dalvyx [7]

Answer:

Cytokinesis is a phase in which two daughter cells are separated from one another.

Explanation:

Cytokinesis is a phase in which cytoplasm of the cell is divided into two equal parts after the cell division i. e. mitosis or meiosis. Cytoplasm is a main part of the cell which contains different organelles of the cell such as mitochondria, ribosome, endoplasmic reticulum, golgi bodies, lysosomes and vacuole etc. It also contains nutrients, enzymes and water in large amount.

How many dna molecules are present in your diploid cells
Tcecarenko [31]

Answer:

92 molecules

Explanation:

DNA or Deoxyribosenucleic acid is polynucleotide made up of several nucleotides containing the genetic information of an organism. In the nucleus of each cell, the DNA molecule is packaged into thread-like structures called chromosomes. Each chromosome is made up of DNA, tightly coiled many times around proteins called histones to support its stucture.

Human cells, like myself, contains 23 pairs of chromosomes (46 chromosomes in total). Each pair coming from each parent. Each chromosome is formed by two strands of DNA held together by hydrogen bonds forming the DNA double-helical structure. These two DNA strands form a base pair, which is a unit of two nucleotide bases bound to each other by hydrogen bonds. According to the complementary base pairing rule, Adenine (A) pairs with Thymine (T) while Guanine pairs with Cytosine (C).

Since there are 46 chromosomes in a diploid human cell and each chromosome consists of 2 DNA strands, then, there are 46 × 2 = 92 strands/molecules of DNA in each human diploid cell.
