There are many ways of dividing a triangle, two ways are mentioned below.

Method 1: Dividing a triangle into triangle of three equal areas

After trisecting one side of the triangle connect the two points that trisect the side to the opposite vertex which will make all three triangles have the same length of base and height.

Method 2: Dividing a triangle into two

This method is pretty simple if you are just going straight down the middle to make the two triangles of even base and height.

I hope this helps. If any false information was given I apologize in advance.

Start at one of the vertices and draw a line from there to a point on the oposite side, not ending at another vertex

Assoli18 [71]
The a point is refrected through the line y = x, the new point is found by interchanging the x and y-cordinate of the original point. i.e. if the original point is (a, b) and is refrected through the line y = x, the new point will be (b, a).

Please help! try to make it short if you can! thank you so much!
Mumz [18]

For a, x is equal to the sum of the measures of the inside angle because the total degrees of a triangle is 180 and the total degrees of a line is 180. Since both the line and the triangle are missing the same amount, x would equal the interior degrees that are listed. I don’t know what m<x means for b, but if it’s asking for the value of x it’s 62+78= 140° which makes the missing interior angle 40°. Hope this helps!
