To find the amount of servings, we divide the total sandwich by the amount given to one person:
2 1/2 / 1/2
This can simplify into:
5/2 / 1/2
Dividing a fraction is basically multiplying it's flipped side:
5/2 * 2
10/2 = 5
There are 5 servings in the sandwich

What must I multiply n squared by to get five n cubed
Alex73 [517]
In order to determine the expression that should be multiplied to n^2 to get 5n^3, divide 5n^3 by n^2. First for the numerical coefficient, 5 divide 1 is 5. For the variable n, n^3/n^2 is n. Thus, the term that should be multiplied to n^2 is 5n.

Suppose your statistics professor reports test grades as z-scores, and you got a score of 2.492.49 on an exam. a) Write a sent
kolezko [41]

Answer:

a) Option C) The score was 2.49 standard deviations higher than the mean score in the class.

b) 2.3%

Step-by-step explanation:

a) We are given that the distribution of test grades is a bell shaped distribution that is a normal distribution.

Formula:

z_{score} = \displaystyle\frac{x-\mu}{\sigma}

\displaystyle\frac{x-\mu}{\sigma} = 2.49\\\\x - \mu = 2.49\sigma\\x = \mu + 2.49\sigma

Option C) The score was 2.49 standard deviations higher than the mean score in the class.

b) The z-score for a particular score is -2.

We have to evaluate

P(z < -2)

Calculating the value from normal z-table.

P(z < -2) = 0.023

Thus, 2.3% of  of the class scored lower than my friend.

Laura's science teacher gave each student in her class 25.0 grams of iron pellets for an experiment. Each student was required t
Fynjy0 [20]
The given samples are supposed to weigh 25.0 grams. This value is the basis when we talk about accuracy. In this case, we are talking about precision, so we opt to select the most 'precise' of the choices. The most precise measurement is C) 25.0122 grams. This is because it records up to +- 0.0001 grams.

The sum of four consecutive integers is 2,174. what is the value of the smallest integer
nikklg [1K]
Represent the sum of these consecutive integers as follows:

x  +  x+1  +  x+2  +  x+3  =  2174.

Then 4x + 6 = 2174.  Solving for x, x = 542.

Then the four integers are {542, 543, 544, 545}.

The smallest is 542 (answer)
