Answer (B) 2/3

Explanation: the multiplicative rate is the ratio of the values y(k)/y(k+1) (with k being the index).  This ratio must be the same for the function to be exponential. We can take y(2)/y(1) = 4/6 = 2/3.

We can use 2/3 to verify the remaining entries:

x=3: 4*2/3 = 8/3 = y(3)

x=4: (8/3)*(2/3)=16/9=y(3)

What is the decimal equivalent of an 11% increase
valentinak56 [21]

Answer:

0.11

Step-by-step explanation:

You would convert the percentage to a fraction. Since the % symbol means 'out of 100', you would put 11 over 100: 11/100.

Then you would convert the fraction to a decimal: 0.11.

An easier way could also be to take the percentage and move it two decimal places to the right.

Ex: 43% moved two decimal places to the right would be 0.43.

I hope this helps!

If p is a positive integer,then p(p+1)(p-1) is always divisible by?
ElenaW [278]

I am not quite sure what the choices are, but the answer to that problem is:

If p is a positive integer, then p(p+1)(p-1) is always divisible by “an even number”.

The explanation to this is that whatever number you input to that equation, the answer will always be an even number. This is due to the expression p(p+1)(p-1) which always result in a even product.

For example if p=3, then (p+1)(p-1) becomes (4)(2) giving you a even number.

And if for example if p=2, then (p+1)(p-1) becomes (3)(1) which gives an odd product, but we still have to multiply this with p therefore 2*3 = 6 which is even product. The outcome is always even number.

How do you use distributive property to solve 3,649 x 6
Agata [3.3K]

Answer:

21894

Step-by-step explanation:

So, since we want to use the distrubutive property, we ant to simplify 3,649

3000+600+40+9

now, multiply 6 to each one of those numbers:

18000+3600+240+54

add them together to get one number

21894

And that's how I think it's done.
