• When the bond present between the two phosphate groups breaks down, it releases energy.

• In a living cell, energy is released to perform many essential metabolic activities; the process is called respiration.

Further Explanation:

Respiration is a chemical process that breaks down glucose molecules and then produces ATP. The cellular respiration includes three different steps to generate energy in a living cell, namely glycolysis, Krebs cycle, and ETC (electron transport chain) these are the three different cycle that helps in ATP generation. During glycolysis, there is a net release of ATP (produce energy in a living cell) and NADH molecules.ATP has three phosphate groups in their structure, to release energy the bond between these groups’ breaks to release one inorganic phosphate.

The molecule of ATP is synthesized due to the presence of a proton gradient in the inner membrane of mitochondria. Synthesis of ATP is possible in the membrane only if the proton gradient is well established any leakage in the membrane will interrupt the gradient and directly affect the ATP synthesis.

B) The mutation is beneficial and allows those who have it to reproduce more than average.

If the mutation is beneficial, it will become common in a population since the individual(s) that have this beneficial mutation will survive longer to produce more offspring that have this mutation. These offspring will also live longer and spread this mutation through the gene pool through reproduction.

Hope this helps :)

Which organelles are labeled D?
LUCKY_DIMON [66]

Answer;

Centrioles

Explanation;

 • Centrioles are organelles that are only found in animal cells.
 • Centrioles are important organelles that functions by helping the process of cell division in animal cells. This is by helping the formation of spindle fibers whose role is to separate chromosomes during cell division.
 • Additionally, centrioles also play a very important role in celiogenesis, the formation of cilia and flagella on the surface of cells. The cilia and flagella enhance the movement of cells.
