If P(A) times P(B) is equal to P(A n B), then that shows the events are independent. Otherwise, they are dependent. When I write "A n B", I mean "A intersect B". The intersect symbol looks similar to the lowercase letter n.
P(A)*P(B) = (3/4)*(2/5) = (3*2)/(4*5) = 6/20 = 3/10
Since that result is not the same as P(A n B) = 1/3, this means that the events are not independent. They are dependent events. The answer is choice D
Given: Mean of Normal distribution μ = 100, standard deviation σ =20
We have to find the probability that the score will be less than X=84
P(X < 84)
The z-score for x=84 is
Z =
Z =
Z = -0.8
We have to find probability that Z < -0.8
Using Z score table to find the probability below z=-0.8 we get
P(Z < -0.8) = 0.2119
Hence the probability that the score will be less than x = 84 is 0.2119

The answer is 22,5
To understand percents and how to calculate them it is most important that you remember that one whole is divided into one hundred little peaces. In this case, the whole is 75. So, the easiest way to find a certain percentage of a whole, is to divide it by one hundred and then multiply it with the percent that you want to find. So, to solve your question you have to divide 75 by 100, which gives you that one percent of 75 is 7.5, and then to find what 30 percent of 75 is, you multiply that one percent by 30, or 7.5 x 30, which gives you 22.5 - the wanted solution.
There are other ways of calculating percentage, but this is by far the easiest one for beginners to understand.
Hope it helps :)
