Answer:

The oven mitts cost

$13.80

But, Cook-n-Serve buys from a wholesaler, so they receive a discount of 40%

This means that they pay

(1-0.4)*($13.80) = 0.6*($13.80) = $8.28 for each pair

The markup rate on cost is 60%

And they sell for

$13.80/$8.28 = 1.67 times the price

1.67*100% = 167%

The markup rate on selling price is  167%

Combine like terms . What is a simpler form of the expression? 2(x/2 -5)-3/2(x+7/4). Please Explain.
Aleks04 [339]
Are you able to expand everything first? from there you would be able to combine line terms. basically if you have 3x+2x it would combine to 5x because they have x in them.

The scatter plot below shows the relationship between the length (x) in meters and mass f(x) in kg of a marine animal
Vlad [161]
F(x) = -9 + 10.3x probably.
It's definitely not the first or last option as they have negative gradients (i.e. negative x-coefficient) and so represent a negative correlation. The data given tells us there is a positive gradient and so a positive correlation.
It could be the second option as the second and third are not so vastly different but I would go for the third because it appears to most closely fit the data pattern.

We are assuming the numbers 1 - 6 on the cubes?

If so,

Blue (3, 4, 5, or 6) is 4/6 or 2/3 chance

Green(1,3,5) is 3/6 or 1/2 chance

To get both the P is 2/3 times 1/2

The probability that Nathan is not allergic to penicillin is 1 - 0.75 = 0.25.
The probability that Nathan is not allergic to penicillin and the test predicts it is given by:

3/5100 is equal to 0.00058824
And 9 3/5 is equal to 5.4( here you multiply 9 by 3 and after you divided the result with 5)
