Answer: The parts of speech are:

Many ----> determiner

women ----> noun

replaced ----> verb

men ---> noun

on ---> preposition

the ----> determiner

baseball ----> noun

field ----> noun

and ----> conjunction

in ---> preposition

factories ---> noun

Explanation: The term "parts of speech" makes reference to word classes, which are arranged together according to the form and function of words. Some of the main parts of speech are nouns, verbs, prepositions, conjunctions and determiners. Nouns mainly refer to things, people or places. Examples of nouns in the sentence provided are "women", "me", "baseball", "field" and "factories". On the other hand, verbs usually make reference to actions, such as "replaced". Determiners modify nouns, and, in some cases, they are used to quantify: this is the case of "many". However, "the" is also a determiner and it is used to show specific reference. In contrast, prepositions establish a relationship between words. In the sentence provided, "in" and "on" are prepositions. Finally, conjunctions connect two items or ideas. "And", in this case, is joining "on the baseball field" and "in factories".

Which is the best reason to conduct an in-person interview?
alina1380 [7]
I believe the answer is to get a complete impression of the person.

It’s not to force the interviewee to give straight answers because they might be more stressed.
It’s not to give the interviewee time to think over questions because that would make more sense to give them a paper to fill out as an interview.

Select all the correct answers.
Helga [31]

The correct answers are: B) the dystopian world that Gregor enters as an insect, and C) Gregor's sudden transformation into a giant insect.

A Kafkaesque situation is a nightmarish one, and also strongly surreal, so in that sense, the options that relate the most to said expression are the ones that have to do with dream-like things, like the dystopian world and Gregor becoming an insect.

Why did Nick's father tell him he should refrain from judging or criticizing other people? -From the Great Gatsby
KIM [24]

Answer:he said just remember that all the people in this world haven’t had the advantages that you’ve had.

Explanation: ‘Whenever you feel like criticizing anyone,’ he told me, ‘just remember that all the people in this world haven’t had the advantages that you’ve had.’”

—Nick Carraway, The Great Gatsby

F is for F. Scott Fitzgerald, author of Gatsby and master of human insight wrapped in poetry. His novel begins here, his narrator Nick Carraway, grappling with his father’s caution of criticism—

“All the people in this world haven’t had the advantages that you’ve had.”

In short, people judge, and Nick tries to refrain because his father said so. I think about Nick’s words and my life. I remember how often my mother would stop herself mid-criticism and say, “I’m not going to say that. It wasn’t very nice.” Then Philippians 4:8 comes to mind about thinking on excellent, praiseworthy things.

Speaking of excellence and praise, what about this one for its sheer lyricism? “It was dawn now on Long Island and we went about opening the rest of the windows downstairs, filling the house with grey turning, gold turning light. The shadow of a tree fell abruptly across the dew and ghostly birds began to sing among the blue leaves. There was a slow pleasant movement in the air, scarcely a wind, promising a cool lovely day.”
