The sentence The cat ate the rat contains a direct object.
The cat is the subject, ate is the verb, the rat is the direct object.
Personification is a figure of speech where human qualities are give to animals, objects or ideas.
Two examples of sky turned to personification :
1. The sun glared down at me from sky.
2. The stars danced playfully in the moonlit sky.
With my school experience I would have to say B, because a transitive verb has to be an action verb and express a doable activity. An example would be: Sylvia KICKED Juan under the table.
Thank you, I hope you have a good morning as well!
