You have to isolate the (a) so you multiply the 2/3 by 3/2 and you have to do that to the right side. So -24 times 3/2 equals to -36. Therefore, a=-36.

Answer:

<em>m<h = 100 deg</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

Draw a segment connecting the two parallel lines. Draw that segment near the parallel line symbols (the small arrowheads). Now you have a pentagon. The sum of the measures of the interior angles of a pentagon is

(n - 2)180 = (5 - 2)180 = 3(180) = 540

The angles the new segment makes with the parallel lines are same-side interior angles of parallel lines cut by a transversal, so they are supplementary. Their measures add up to 180 deg.

180 + 98+ 162 + h = 540

h + 440 = 540

h = 100

Write a system of linear equations for the graph below.
sp2606 [1]
<h2>Answer:</h2>

We need to determine the equation of both lines first.

  • Line 1: <em>y = -2x + 3</em>
  • Line 2: <em>y = -1/3x - 2</em>

Now that we know the equations, we can set up a system of equations for this graph where both equations are in standard form.

Line 1:

y = -2x + 3\\\\2x + y = 3

Line 2:

y = -\frac{1}{3}x - 2\\\\\frac{1}{3}x + y = -2

<em>Final answer:</em>

2x + y = 3\\\frac{1}{3}x + y = -2
