If the function graphed is f(x), find f(1)

Mathematics

3 0

Answer:

f(1)=-4

Step-by-step explanation:

f(1) means what is the y in the point on the curve of f so that x=1.

So I go to x=1 on the x-axis.

So I go right one from the origin.

I notice the curve is below the x-axis so I go down to the curve til I get to the curve.

Once I get to the curve, I look at the y-axis to tell what that number is for that ordered pair there at x=1.

That y-value is -4.

A graph/picture is probably worth a lot more to you then my words.

Other examples:

f(2)=-5

f(3)=0

f(-1)=4

f(-2)=5

f(-3)=0

Find the length of the arc.
120°
6ft
8_murik_8 [283]

Answer:

The length of the arc is 8*pi cm. An arc that subtends a central angle of 120 degrees has a length of 120/360 = 1/3 the length of the total circumference of the circle. We know the entire circumference of the circle is 2πr, which in this case is 2π*12 = 24π.

Step-by-step explanation:

sorry I only have the 8

Find m1 and m2 . Tell which theorem can be used.

m1 =
by the…
m2 =
by the…
harkovskaia [24]

122° and angle 1 are alternate interior angles and hence they are equal.

m1 = 122°

122° + angle 2 = 180° [sum of co interior angles is 180°]

angle 2 = 180° - 122°

m2 = 58°

What number between 20 and 25 is a prime number?
Elena-2011 [213]
Prime numbers are numbers that have only one factor pair; 1 and themselves.

Let's start from 21.

21 = 1 x 21, 3 x 7.
This has two factor pairs, this is not prime.

Let's try 22.

22 = 1 x 22, 2 x 11.
This also has two factor pairs, this is not prime.

Let's try 23.

1 x 23.
This is a prime number, as it only has one factor pair; 1 and itself.

23 is your prime number.

I hope this helps!
