A.
alright
we can factor out the b² from everybody

b²(5x²+14x-3)
use ac method
for ax²+bx+c
multiply ac, and remember te result
find what 2 numbers multiply to ac and add to get b
split b up into those 2 numbers
factor
it's confusing so see example below
so

b²(5x²+14x-3)
5 times -3=-15
what 2 numbers multiply to get -15 and add to get 14?
15 and -1
b²(5x+15x-1x-3)
group
b²((5x²+15x)+(-1x-3))
b²(5x(x+3)-1(x+3))
factor
b²(5x-1)(x+3)

B.
what 2 numbers multiply to get 81 and add to get -18?
-9 and -9
(x-9)(x-9) or
(x-9)²

C.
diff of 2 perfect squares
remember a²-b²=(a+b)(a-b)
so
x²-11²=(x+11)(x-11)

noname [10]

Answer:

Probability of choosing green and yellow treat  is higher than Probability of choosing an orange and yellow treat  by 0.08

Step-by-step explanation:

Given -

Green and yellow gummy treats = 20

Red and yellow gummy treats = 14

Orange and yellow gummy treats = 16

Total gummy treat = 20+14+16 = 50

Probability of choosing green and yellow treat = 20/50 = 0.4

Probability of choosing an orange and yellow treat = 16/50 = 0.32

Probability of choosing green and yellow treat  is higher than Probability of choosing an orange and yellow treat  by 0.08

An open box is constructed from a square 10-inch piece of cardboard by cutting squares of length x inches out of each corner and
Colt1911 [192]

Answer: V = 8x^3-80x^3 +200x

Domain 0<x<5

Step-by-step explanation:

Dimension of cardboard = 10 by 10

Let the length of box = 10-2x

Let the width of box = 10 - 2x

Let the height of box be =x

Volume = l×w×h

V = (10-2x)×(10-2x)×x

V= 100 - 40x +42 × x

V= 8x^3 -80x^2 +200x
