Answer: Marked price Rs. 600

Step-by-step explanation:

Let M be the marked price

1) When shop keeper sold at 20% discount, ie. SP = 0.8M

CP - SP = 20

CP = 20 + SP

CP = 20 + 0.8M

2) When shopkeeper sells at 8% discount, he makes a profit of 10%

SP = 0.9M/1.08

Equating 1 and 2, we get

20 + 0.8M = 0.9M/1.08

21.6 + 0.864M = 0.9M

0.036 M = 21.6

M = 21.6 / 0 036

M = 600

A shopkeeper made a loss of Rs 20 when he sold a bag at 20% discount. If he had sold it at 10% discount, he would have gained 8%. Find the marked price of the bag.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

\Large\fbox{\color{purple}{ SOLUTION }}

let M, S and C be the mark price, selling price & cost price respectively.

1) when shopkeeper sells at 20% discount then he suffers a loss of rupees 20 then we have :-

s = ( 1 -  \frac{20}{100} ) \times m = 0.8m \\  \\ and \: c  - s = 20

C = 20 + 0.8 m ------------- eq 1

2) when shopkeeper sells at 20% discount then he makes a profit of 8% then we have

s = ( 1 -  \frac{10}{100} ) \times m = 0.9m \\  \\ and  \\  \\ s = ( 1  +  \frac{8}{100} ) \times c = \:  \frac{0.9m}{1.08}

since the cost price of bag doesn't change and equating 1 and 2 we get

20 + 0.8m =  \frac{0.9m}{1.08}  \\  \\ 21.6 + 0.864m \:  = 0.9m \\  \\ 0.036m \:  = 21.6 \\  \\ m \:  = 600

<h3>hence ur answer is rupees 600</h3>

Which graph shows the solution to the inequality -3x-7x&lt;20
hjlf
A graph of this inequality would be a number line, with the number -2 circled (not filled in), and the number line to the right of -2 shaded.

To solve this, you will combine like terms first:

-3x-7x < 20
-10x < 20

Divide both sides by -10:
-10x/-10 < 20/-10

When you divide an inequality by a negative number, you flip the inequality symbol:

x > -2

Answer:

B.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since two diameters are intersecting eachother, the angles inside them would be vertical angles so they'll be congruent.

So

m<LYM = m<JYM

Also their arcs would be equal to their angles measures so,

Arc JK = 52°

How many 9-inch-square floor tiles are needed to cover a rectangular floor that measures 12 feet by 15 feet?
Eduardwww [97]
To cover the width we need 12÷¾=12×4/3=16 tiles.
To cover the length we need 15×4/3=20 tiles, so to cover the floor area we need 16×20=320 tiles.
