There are four Types of general body shapes for most fishes:
Fusiform: Like Tuna Fishes, and most Sharks, this body shape has a larger, rounded on front, and almost pointy in the rear.
Attenuated: Like Eels allows it to wiggle into small crevices where it hunts prey, like a snake.
Depressed: (Flat ventrally) like the Angler fish and most Flat Fishes.
Compressed: (Flat Vertically) reef fishes such as the butter fish gives the fish great agility for movement around the reef and can support sudden bursts of acceleration.
The Triggerfish is flat from side-to-side, it's mostly on reefs and moves around with great agility; and the Hawkfish has a Torpedo-like body, round in front, pointy in the tail. The body shape then is compressed.

Please match the white blood cells with the statements that most accurately describe them to test your understanding of the beha
Artyom0805 [142]

Following are the statements:

1. Main phagocytes in circulation

2. Like eosinophils, they are involved in inflammation and allergic reactions

3. Phagocytic cells that leave circulation and differentiate into macrophages

4. Display no antigen specificity but are active against tumor and virally infected cells

Answer:

1. Neutrophils

2. Basophils

3. Monocytes

4. Natural killer cells

Explanation:

Neutrophils can be described as the most abundant type of white blood cells. They make up to 55%- 75% of the immune system.

Basophils can be described as white blood cells which are made in the bone marrow.

Monocytes can be described as white blood cells which are the largest and differentiate into macrophages and myeloid lineage dendritic cells.

Natural killer cells can be described as white blood cells which play a role in providing innate immunity.

What is the difference between plants breathing and photosynthesis?
coldgirl [10]

The principal difference, however, between photosynthesis and respiration (plants breathing is called respiration) is that photosynthesis utilizes carbon dioxide and water in the presence of light to produce glucose and oxygen, whereas respiration uses oxygen and glucose to power the activities of the cell.

hope it helps...!!!

Identify reactions in this equation 2KCIO3(s)-2KCI (s)+ 3O2 (g) A 2KCIO3 B 2KCI and 3O2 C 2KCI D there are no reactants
Delicious77 [7]
Finding the reactions in the equation 2KCIO3(s)-2KCI (s)+ 3O2 (g) A 2KCIO3 B 2KCI and 3O2 C 2KCI D.....well first look for the synthesis reactions which are if two different elements are one one side and a compound on the other side where the elements form....the next reaction you would look for would be the decomposition reaction.....and I still don't see this because if I did it would be the same as the synthesis reaction except it would be the other way around...sooo the compound of the elements would be on the right and when you add the elements it would be on the left side....the next reaction is the single displacement which I don't see in this example...the single displace me is when you are adding the elements not the left and on the right it's the same thing BUT the elements are in different order....and the last one is the combustion reaction which I do see....this is when there is adding element on both side.......so the reactions I see in this example is the combustion reaction.....hope it helps....:)
