Read the excerpt from The Land.
poizon [28]

The correct answer is D) Paul is motivated to ask Robert for help.

The passage provides evidence of why Paul is motivated to ask Robert for help.

We are referring to a passage of "The Land, " a story that talks about inequity in society and how this affects people.

The excerpt says that: "...We had been together practically since birth, and we always took care of each other." That means that Paul and Robert were very close to since the beginning of their lives. They protected each other in that being the same age, the grew facing similar situations.

In another part of the excerpt, we can read: "When I got into trouble, Robert was there to pull me out of it if he could, or at least to see me through it, and I did the same for him." That represents that they were there to protect each other no matter what. So Paul was always motivated to ask Robert for help.
