he earns $1325/car and 5000/1325=3.7 so he needs to sell 4 cars

y=1200+125x

so the equation would be 5000=1200+125x

5000-1200=1200-1200+125x

3800=125x

3800/125=125x/125

30.4=x

when x equals amount of cars, so he has to sell 31 cars.
