<h2>Answer is option "1 B & 2 C"</h2>

Explanation:

  • Evolution genetics is a field of science, which includes the study of genetic variations that lead to evolutionary changes in organisms
  • As some bacteria had changed their DNA that led to the development of antibiotic resistance in them
  • Due to antibiotic resistance, certain bacteria, in which changes in DNA take place, become resistant against some type of antibiotics and those antibiotics are no longer effective to prevent or kill them
  • Hence, the right answer is option 1 B and 2 C " evolution Genetics & less bacteria becoming resistant to the specific antibiotics"

Indicate, as true or false, whether each of the following statements about species is a component of the biological species conc
adell [148]

Their reproductive isolation from each other is complete: False

They are unable to produce hybrid offspring upon interbreeding: True

They shared a common ancestor recently in evolutionary time: False

Explanation:

A species known as a group of that organisms which can be potentially interbreed with another one to produce viable, fertile offspring. Prezygotic and postzygotic barriers separated the species from each other. It prevents the mating of viable fertile offspring.

This process happens when groups in that species become reproductively diverge as well as isolated. In the formation of new species postzygotic and Prezygotic barriers play vital role.

There are two species of freshwater shrimp that are introduced to a pond. The first species, Caridina cantonensis, is brightly c
Marina86 [1]

Explanation:

Natural selection is the mechanism that is responsible for the evolution of organisms.

In the given case, the Freshwater shrimp has been introduced to a pond in which the two species with variations are introduced.

The <em>C. cantonensis </em>is brighter in color whereas the <em>C. multidentata</em> is mottled drab in color. The predator fish can feed easily on the species which is brighter therefore <em>C. cantonensis</em> is more susceptible. The mottled drab species is not easily predated by the species.

The 30 % offsprings of <em>C. cantonensis</em> can survive till the reproductive age  whereas 75% of C. multidentata. This shows that natural selection has acted on the color of the shrimp species selected against the predator fish species.

The species with mottled drab color is the result of the differential reproductive rate.
