Answer:

Since, Multiplication is a shortcut for addition.

Use of Distributive Property is the most familiar alternative way to write 9 x 200.

Distributive Property states that when a number is multiplied by the sum of two numbers, then the  first number can be distributed to both of those numbers and multiplied by each of them separately i.e,

a \times (b+c) =a\times b +a\times c

9 x 200

First replace 200 as 100+100 then, we have

9 \times (100+100)

Now, using distributive property above:

9 x 200 = 9 \times (100+100) =(9 \times 100)+ (9 \times 100) = 900+900 =1800.

Answer: D

Step-by-step explanation:

It seems there is two ways to solve this, remember that this is just one of them.

The triangle to the left is an isosceles triangle by definition. It is given that two of its sides are equal.

The angles opposite the equal sides in an isosceles triangle are congruent. It is given that one of these angles is 70 degrees, so the other one must be 70 degrees as well.

This angle is opposite to Angle Y. Vertical angles are congruent, so Angle Y must be 70 degrees.

D is the answer.

2 Nine identical circles are cut from a square sheet of paper whose sides are
Ivanshal [37]

Answer:

278.64cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of the sheet left out = Area of the square - Area of the 9 circles

Area of the square = L^2

L is the side length of the square

A = 36^2

Area of the square = 1296cm^2

Diameter of a circle = 38/3 = 12cm

Area of a circle = πr²

r is the radius = 12/2 = 6cm

Area of a circle = 3.14(6)²

Area of a circle = 3.14 * 36

Area of a circle = 113.04cm²

Area of 9 circles = 9 * 113.04

Area of 9 circles = 1,017.36cm²

Area of the left over = 1296 - 1,017.36

Area of the left over = 278.64cm²

A fine fabric was selling for $10.50 per half yard. Joni bought 2 1/3 yards. How much did he spend? Brainliest for correct answe
Alinara [238K]

Answer:

45.5

Step-by-step explanation:

First you would find 1/3 third of 10.50 and it is 3.5, you would then do 10.50 x 4 since it said 10.50 per half a yard, so you would do times 4 and you would get 42, you would then add 42 + 3.5 which equals 45.5.
