Hey!

The formula for finding slope is: \frac {y_2-y_1} {x_2-x_1} or \frac{difference\ in\ y}{difference\ in\ x }

y₂ = 9

y₁ = 6

9 - 6 = 3

x₂ = -3

x₁ = -9

(-9) - (-3) = 6

<em>That gives you: 3/6 = -1/2</em>

Slope = (y2-y1)/(x2 - x1)

Slope = (9 - 6)/(-3- (-9)) = 3/6 = 1/2

Events a and b are mutually exclusive. p(a) = 0.4 and p(b) = 0.5. what is p(a/b)?
Salsk061 [2.6K]
To figure this out, replace the variables with their given values.

p(a/b) = p(.4/.5)

Then you divide!

.4/.5 = .8

Hope this helps!
