True staments are:

The y-variable will be eliminated when adding the system of equations

There is only one solution to the system of equations

Solution:

Given system of equations are:

x + 6y = 16 ----- eqn 1

8x - 6y = -2 ---- eqn 2

We have to solve the system of equations

When we add eqn 1 and eqn 2, then y term will get eliminated

Let us add eqn 1 and eqn 2

x + 6y + 8x - 6y = 16 - 2

6y and -6y will get eliminated

Thus, y-variable will be eliminated when adding the system of equations

x + 8x = 14

9x = 14

x = 1.55

Substitute x = 1.55 in eqn 1

1.55 + 6y = 16

6y = 16 - 1.55

6y = 14.45

y = 2.408

Thus the solution is x = 1.55 and y = 2.408

There is only one solution to the system of equations

uysha [10]
∠DBC = 19° since the two angles have to add up to 180, if x = 23, then 23 -4 = 19 for the right, and 7 x 23 = 161, and 161 + 19 = 180.

If y varies inversely as the square of x, and y = 1/8 when x = 1, find y when x = 5.
Kisachek [45]
Y = k / x² ( y varies inversely as the square of x )
y = 1/8 when x = 1:
1/8 = k / 1²
8 k = 1
k = 1/8
For x = 5:
y = 1/8 / 5² = 1/8 : 25 = 1/8 · 1/25 = 1/200
Answer: A ) 1/200

13 multiplied by the sum of 4 and11. Now reverse the result and add it to the earliest result and then multiplied it by 13
Kobotan [32]

Step-by-step explanation:

I am not critically certain but the ways you have jotted down your enquiry..

I assume is

13 × (4×11)

13 × 44

=572 - 44= 528

528+13 =541

541 ×13=7033

2x-y=3; x=2 how do I solve this
Solnce55 [7]

2x-y=3

use the substitution method

2(2)-y= 3

4-y= 3

move 4 to the other side

sign changes from +4 to -4

4-4-y= 3-4

-y= 3-4

-y=-1

mutiply both sides by -1 to get +y

(-1)(-y)= (-1)(-1)

y= (-1)(-1)

Answer: y= 1

I was wondering if you could show How you got the answer. And its not 6 I already tried TvT. Im looking for the surface area of
PIT_PIT [208]

Answer:

22, I think

Step-by-step explanation:

You count all the squares on all of the faces.

So you count the two on the top and double it for the bottom, so four

Then, on the sides you have three so you double that and get six

Next, you double the six squares on the other side and get twelve.

Lastly, you add them up!

4 + 6 + 12

Hope this helps!
