Please help.. surface area of cylinder

Mathematics

Remember that the surface area of an object is the area of all of its faces added up.

The area of one circle is:

\pi(4)^2 = 16\pi

The area of the rectangle is a little more complex. We are missing the length of one side, which is the circumference of one of the base circles (think about when the diagram above is made into a three-dimensional cylinder). The circumference of the circles is:

(2 \cdot 4)\pi = 8\pi

The area of the rectangle is thus:

8\pi \cdot 9 = 72\pi

When all of the areas are added together, we find that the total surface area of the shape is:

72\pi + 16\pi + 16\pi = \boxed{104\pi}

Angles ∝ and β are the two acute angles in a right triangle. Use the relationship between sine and cosine to find the value of β
arlik [135]
Ok so cos(x) = sin(90-x) so using that you can get sin(7x-15) = sin(90-(3x+5)) so 7x-15 = -3x+85. 10x = 100 and x = 10. Use that to find the 2 angles are 55 and 35

Define contrapositive p --> q=?
siniylev [52]

Answer:

~q→~p

Step-by-step explanation:

The contrapositive of a statement is formed by negating the hypothesis and conclusion of a statement and switching them (the hypothesis becomes the conclusion and vice versa).

With this definition we can conclude that the contrapositive of p→q would be ~q→~p

Someone please help me !!! i need it by 7:30!! ammm!!!
AveGali [126]

Answer:

LON and MLN are both equal to 126 degrees,

since the angles with the value '4x + 7' and '7x - 35' degrees are equal to each other, you can rewrite it like this:

4x+7=7x-35

now, take the 7x away from both sides:

-3x+7=-35

then, subtract 7 from both sides:

-3x=-42

now, divide both sides by -3:

x=14

now that we know the value of x (14), we can plug it into the expressions.

4(14)+7=63

7(14)=63

add them together to find the angle MLN

and since the opposite angle (LON) is equal to MLN, they both = 126 degrees

hope this helped :)
