We are going to want to put this into slope-intercept formula. But first we need to find the slope

(5, 3) (25, 19)
(19-3)/(25-5)
16/20
4/5 = m

We then put this into the formula. But now we have to find b by plugging in one of the points as x and y.
y = 4/5x + b (10,7)
7 = 4/5(10) + b
7 = 8 + b
-1 = b
Our equation will be y = 4/5x -1.

Then we can plug in 40 as x to find the plant's height

y= 4/5(40) - 1
y= 32 - 1
y = 31 inches

Finally, the plant is 31 inches at 40 days.

08.06)Data are collected about the amount of time, in minutes, each member of a dance troupe spend practicing. How does a single
Tpy6a [65]

The correct answer is:

A single outlier causes the value of the median to move slightly toward the outlier.

Explanation:

Overall, outliers have very little effect on the median. However, they do affect it some.

If the outlier is a very large number, the median will slightly increase as compared to the data set without the outlier.

If the outlier is very small, the median will slightly decrease compared to the data set without the outlier.

In both instances, the median is moved slightly towards the outlier.

Maria is play a game where you score -5 points each time you guess the correct answer.The goal is to get the lowest score.To win
oee [108]

Answer:

7

Step-by-step explanation:

Just notice that correct answers are whole numbers.

And, to win the game,Maria must have a score less than -80, it means she needs to score al least -85 ( it can not be -81, -82.. because 1 correct answer score -5, only multiples of -5 are accepted)

So, we take: \frac{-85}{-5} = 7 correct answers to win the game.

Hope it will find you well.

F (x)= 6x^2 + 6x + 12 (Solve by factoring.)
zzz [600]
You can't solve for the zeros by factoring because the function is not factorable.

I'll show you what happens:
f(x) = 6x^2 + 6x + 12

To solve for the zeros (when f(x)=0), set f(x) equal to 0.
0 = 6x^2 + 6x + 12

First you can factor out a 6.
0 = 6(x^2 + x + 2)

Divide by 6.
0 = x^2 + x + 2

Now you need two integers that add up to the coefficient of x (1) and multiply to the product of the last term and the coefficient of x^2. This number is 2.
No two integers add up to 1 and multiply to 2.
