The main reason that cells carry out cellular respiration is to produce energy in the form of ATP.

Further Explanation:

The glucose is broken down by a process called cellular respiration. The cellular respiration occurs in mitochondria of animals and plant. The Cellular respiration is referred as a total collection of methods and metabolic process that occur in cells. It is a process by which the cells of the body breakdown the food to produce energy. This energy is required for all the metabolic functions as well as the physical role of the body. Cellular respiration can be dividing into three stages

  • Krebs cycle
  • Glycolysis
  • Electron transport chain

So, the major reason that cells carry out the cellular respiration is to generate or release energy that helps in driving the cellular processes like reproduction and growth. The energy released by metabolism of glucose is referred as ATP. During any exercise, the energy required by the muscles is fulfilled by four major sources of ATP namely; the free ATP, creatine phosphate, glycolysis, and cellular respiration.

Which answer best explains the difference between protists and bacteria?
Delvig [45]

Answer:

The correct option is A. Bacteria are prokaryotes and protists are eukaryotes

Explanation:

The major difference between BACTERIA AND PROTISTS is the Bacteria are PROKARYOTES in nature and they dont have what we called nucleus reason been that their microbes are single celled microbes while protists on the other hand are EUKARYOTIC in nature and they have nucleus and they can either have a single-celled or have more than one celled.

The Second difference is that protists can only be found in the area or surrounding that are mostly moisture while bacterial on the second hand can be found in every area, environment or surrounding.

Therefore the answer that best explains the difference between both protists and bacteria

Is option A which states that Bacteria are PROKARYOTES while protists are EUKARYOTES.
