Tuberculosis (TB) is an extremely contagious disease. It can spread from person-to-person as well as through water particles in the air. The most common way of becoming infected by TB is through the inhalation of air carrying strands of the virus. Someone can transmit the disease through methods such as coughing, sneezing, laughing and shouting. What can be concluded from this is that direct contact with someone does not always result in the transmission of the disease. There are cases in which someone may not show any symptoms, but still be contagious. This is known as latent TB, which is a dormant form of the bacteria. There is currently a vaccine for this disease as well as antibiotics that can be used to treat and infection. The easiest way to avoid contracting the disease is by eliminating exposure to anyone who shows signs of carrying Tuberculosis.Just a side note after reading this. Unless the question does not require it, you should include the symptoms of TB)
