Let x be the number RIGHT of questions
Amount scored for the x RIGHT questions = 12x
The end result is: 12x -7 = 209
12x = 216 and x = 216/12, x = 18.

So she had 18 correct answers (and 7 wrong)

Base of an isosceles triangle is 5 more than three times the equal sides and perimeter of the triangle is 75 cm. Find the length
ad-work [718]

Answer:

14

14

47

Step-by-step explanation:

An isosceles triangle has two opposite sides. If the two angles are equal , it means the triangle is an isosceles. Because 90 degrees is greater than 45 degrees, the two sides with the same length, would have a smaller length than the third side.

5 + 3x + x + x = 75

5 + 5x = 75

5x = 70

x = 14

5 + 3(14) = 47

I just want to make sure I'm doing these right. Find the value of each variable.
serious [3.7K]
Yes. You did it right. Most of the angles are corresponding, and once you found the measure of x, you could use the corresponding angles postulate.
