Brad wants to open a new savings account. He finds one that returns 3% on his investment each year. Use the variable to write a
Jet001 [13]
Return rate, r = 3% = 0.03
x = initial investment
b = final balance

After 1 year, the balance i
b = initial investment + interest
b = x + r*x = (1 + r)*x

Because r = 0.03,
b = 1.03x   (after 1 year)

Aliun [14]

Answer:

1) B. similar

2) D. (4, 2)

Step-by-step explanation:

1)

When a figure is dilated, the shapes will be similar. Reflected is another transformation so that's wrong. Same size and congruent is wrong since that would have to make the dilated size equal which can't since it's contradicting.

2)

B: (4, -2)

Reflection across the x-axis:

(x, y) → (x, -y)

(4, -2) → (x, -y)

(4, 2)

Am i doing this right????
Anna35 [415]
You are going in the right direction. For the distance of ST I get √136
√(-5-1)² + (6+4)² =
√(-6)² + (10²) =
√ 36 + 100 =
√136

√34² + √136² =√170²
34 + 136 = 170
170 = 170
